Make Music Portland, part of the international Fête de la Musique, is a festival of sound. Occuring annually on the summer solstice, June 21, Make Music Portland is a free event to attend and participate in and is open to all ages, genres,   styles,   and
abilities. During this daylong celebration, the city comes alive with music. Performances take place on city sidewalks, in parks, patios, and even on back porchs.
Play or perform with us on the summer solstice. We're looking for music makers of all stripes to help us fill the streets with sound on June 21. Whether you're strumming solo or part of a jazz quintet, you can play to your heart's content in any public space between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. You can also perform at a Make Music Portland venue and get listed on the official schedule. Sign up to play or learn more about performing with us.
Get involved with Make Music Portland. We need volunteers! If you're interested in volunteering, we'll put your skills to good use. We need people to help us prepare (think booking, media, and community outreach) and facilitate the event. We pay in t-shirts and snacks. Sign up or get more info.
